Janet was born in Neptune, NJ in 1935. After high school, her goal was to travel and that she did. She married Hoody Sexton in 1956. They enjoyed being 7Eleven franchisees in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
She was known for her love of cats and became an advocate to the neuter, spay & rescue program. She was a long- time member at Atonement Lutheran Church in Asbury Park, New Jersey. She loved God and her Church family and community.
In 2014, Janet and Hoody moved to Estero, Florida. She was a member at Estero Church where she enjoyed Woman’s Bible Study. Janet is survived by her son, Kurt Sexton, his wife, Doris Carelli Sexton and her many nieces, nephews and cousins that meant so much to her.
Janet was a friend to many; she had a big and loving heart. Her laugh, her smile, her spirit, and her presence will be missed but forever in the hearts of those that knew her.
