So sorry for your loss. I met him through my brother , who told Richard that I was a beauty school dropout, and I was.  Richard wanted curly hair, so he would come over and I would perm his hair.  He looked great with curls. His sense of humor was great.  He was a very nice person and a lot of fun to be around .

When I hired in at Ford tractor in 1977, Richard was assigned as my senior engineer. Over the years working with Richard, he became not just my boss but one of my most cherished friends. We shared the many events of our lives from births to  marriages to deaths to retirements. Dick was a very talented, kind and generous man. I remember when he won the Michigan lottery and took the entire process assembly group to dinner. When he lived in Sterling heights, he built a theater in his basement where he would host old reel type movies at what he called the "mahna mahna" theater.  Also, he willingly shared his cottage and tri-haul boat on Beaver Lake. I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Richie as he preferred to be called, he was one of the good ones. I can only describe him as a true gentleman. I was blessed to know you, I'll miss you Dick.
