Mary left this earth peacefully in the early hours of January 28 at Hospice by the Sea, Boca Raton, Florida, with her children by her side. Born in Brantford, Ontario, her life’s journey took her from Ontario to rural Saskatchewan, Nashville, New York and Florida, where she resided in Venice for more than 20 years. After completing a Master of Social Work degree in her mid-40s, she worked for many years supporting adults with developmental disabilities in New York State. Predeceased by parents Elizabeth (Bess) and Edward (Ted) Money, husband Samuel Wolfe, long-time companion Walter Saleman, brother George Money, sisters Winnie Wolak and Betty Wingrove, son-in-law Chris Wilson, and grandson Tyrell Lewis Wolfe Marchand. Mary leaves her four children, Lew Wolfe, Naomi Wolfe, Deborah Wilson and Ruth Wolfe (Ken Gordon), four grandchildren, Adam (Ellen) and great grandchild Kay, Eric (Kyla), Phil (Maddy), and Samuel (Madison), and her three sisters, Fran McKnight, Judy Inder and Doreen Avey, to continue her legacy of kindness and generosity. Many thanks to Hospice by the Sea for exemplary comfort and care of Mary and family during the last month of her life. At Mary’s request, she was cremated, and no formal service is planned.
