Julie was born in 1936 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Daniel and Jane Dayton. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Julie lived her life with great joy, friendliness, compassion, flair, and stamina.

At the University of Michigan, Julie majored in Art with a minor in Education. She studied one semester of her junior year at the University of California - Berkley. In her senior year, she met her future husband, Ted Davis, when the two of them were assigned the same drafting table. She received a degree in Art and Education in 1958. In August of 1959, Ted and Julie were married in Grosse Pointe, MI, and their journey together lasted for nearly 57 years, before Ted passed into God’s care. Ted, Julie, and young son, Brad, moved to Oakland, CA in 1961, and then to Tequesta, FL, in 1967, with second son, Ned, in tow. While in Florida, third son, Jonathan, was born. Ted’s architecture career flourished in Palm Beach County. Julie was employed as an art teacher and a real estate agent. Ted and Julie celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and friends in 2009. Julie was active at Beacon Baptist Church and participated in a mission trip to Poland. Her bright spirit was very welcoming wherever she went. She thoroughly enjoyed serving others and spreading the good news of God’s love.
