Jim attended Rochester Schools in Rochester, Michigan before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force as military police at Hulman Air Force Base and in Balikesir, Turkey.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, P. Jeannie; his son, Jim Berney (Jennifer) of Flushing, Michigan, and their four daughters; his daughter, Julie Elliott of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and her three children; his son, Ryan Nagel (Michelle) of Forest Hill, Maryland, and their three children; his daughter, Jennifer DoBrin (Dave) of White Lake, Michigan, and their two sons; as well as two siblings and many extended family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to the caring teams at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital VNA Hospice, Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and Orlando Health in Palm Bay for their compassion and support.
Burial will take place at Great Lakes Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, at a later date.
Jim will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
