William Wayne Wilson

William Wayne Wilson, age 73, died on July 4, 2026 in Pensacola, Fl. at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born in Mobile, AL to Howard Kinder Wilson and Katie Hudson Wilson, he lived most of his life in Pace, Fl. Wayne spent his days creating a warm, welcoming home and cultivating memories that his family will carry in their hearts forever. He measured his life's success not by material wealth, but by the laughter, unity, and growth of the beautiful family tree he planted. Wayne was the ultimate prankster who loved to pick, tease, and joke with those around him. He got the biggest laugh out of catching his gullible family members with his playful tricks. His infectious sense of humor brought endless joy, lightheartedness, and unforgettable smiles to every family gathering. His presence will be deeply missed, but the example of a life well lived will forever be a guiding light for everyone that knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live through the generations he nurtured and inspired.

Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of almost 55 years, Lennie Wilson; a Proud Father to Wayne Wilson Jr., Kevin Wilson, and Diana Cervantes. An adored and loved grandfather to 9 wonderful grandchildren. Proud great-grandfather to 12 great-grandchildren and one more on the way. Son of Howard Kinder Wilson and Katie Hudson Wilson. Brother of Carol Wilson Castro (preceded in death), and Howard Wilson Jr., Ralph Wilson, Carl Wilson, Myrtisjean Wilson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at National Cremation and Burial in Milton, Fl. A gathering time will begin at 2:30 PM for extended family and friends.
