

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Ryan Georgi, who left us unexpectedly on June 15, 2026 at the age of 50. Born on July 21, 1975, in Pensacola FL. Ryan’s journey through life was filled with love, laughter and an unwavering dedication to his family, friends and his profession of Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer. Ryan’s legacy will forever be cherished by his loving mother, Marcia (Mousseau) Georgi, his brother, Chad Georgi, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends and many others who were touched by his kindness and generosity. He was predeceased by his father, Charles Georgi. Ryan graduated from Pace High School, where his talent on the baseball field earned him a scholarship to Jefferson Davis. His baseball talent as a left-handed pitcher with a fierce fastball in the 80mph range, a big breaking curve ball and a slider was well known. He received his Associates of Arts Degree from Pensacola Junior College, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida and a master's degree from Delta State University in Mississippi. These accomplishments laid the foundation for a career that was both impressive and impactful.
Ryan’s professional life began in Barbourville, Kentucky as an Assistant Athletic Trainer before moving to Wise, Virginia, where he was Head Athletic Trainer at the University of Virginia for 5 years. He then moved to T. R. Miller High School in Brewton, Alabama for 12 years. Most recently he was an Athletic Trainer at the University of West Florida. Ryan always affectionately referred to the athletes as his “kids” and loved working with them. He easily related with them from his own experiences as a player. He loved his job and was passionate about every detail in his work. He strived to ensure all needs were met and followed up on anyone he helped. Ryan was also an avid fan of college football, especially the Florida Gators . He also followed the Dallas Cowboys. His enthusiasm was infectious. He also loved playing golf, bowling, corn hole, playing Euchre with his uncles and trips to the beach. He enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races and the five Flags Raceway in Pensacola. He had a group of close-knit friends he enjoyed monthly game nights and social gatherings with as well. Known for his quick wit, warm smile, and goofy faces, Ryan had an ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His humor was matched only by his compassion; if he saw anyone in need, he never hesitated to lend a hand or offer/get medical assistance. Ryan was a compassionate, caring, kind man who will forever be remembered by the many lives he has touched.
Rest in peace, Ryan. You will be missed but never forgotten. A Public Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at National Cremation and Burial Society, 5641 Highway 90 West, Milton, FL 32583, US, on June 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of is life will be held at National Cremation and Burial Society, 5641 Highway 90 West, Milton, FL 32583, US, on June 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
