

Pearl received Christ early in life and was baptized at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church. She had since visited and joined many churches during her travels to different states and overseas.
She attended Mizzo (Missouri State University) for two years. One of her first jobs was a secretary in thehuman resources department at Firmin Deslodge Hospital, at this same hospital, she moved on and was trained as a respiratory therapist. In 1986, she held a top position as administrative secretary for Central Medical Center. She wore many hats and wore them all well. In the 1980’s she joined the Air Force reserves and met Charles McClain, they were married in 1985. They traveled many places together but later in life Pearl became ill. This did not stop their travels, which included many cruises and cross country visits to family and friends.
On Friday May 12th, 2017 in Mary Esther, Florida our beloved Pearl left us to be with the Lord. She leaves to mourn a husband Charles McClain, daughters Danelle McClain, Leon; Nicole McClain Garner, Richard; a son Don McClain, sisters Pauline Stevenson Chestnut, Linda Nelson Miller, Richard; Lisa Nelson Davis, Nancy Nelson Woods, Wayne; Allison Brown, grandchildren, Donyaih McClain, Dai'mone McClain, Mikiah McClain, Isaiah McClain, Jermiah McClain and Joesiah McClain, Niece, Rhonda Hudson, and a host of family and friends.
