

Louise Jane Evans went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2026, at the age of 92, with family by her side. Born on July 5, 1933, in New Orleans, LA, Louise was the daughter of Milton C. Rafael and Stella Mariano. She spent her childhood in New Orleans and Mobile, AL, before marrying James V Evans Sr in 1950. In the mid-1950s, the couple relocated to Milton, FL, where Louise established her home and community. Determined to further her education, Louise received her GED. She drove a school bus for three years while pursuing higher education at Pensacola Jr. College and the University of West Florida. Louise achieved her RN degree and dedicated her career to nursing, working at West Florida Hospital. After 22 years of heartfelt commitment and care, she concluded her professional service on 5 South at West Florida Hospital, in the Neurology Department leaving a legacy of compassion and excellence.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Milton C. Rafael and Stella Mariano, as well as her son, Robert James Evans. She is survived by her children, James (Susan), Cynthia, Timothy, Susan (Ken), and Brenda. Her family extends to her grandchildren—Naomi, Justin (Rebecca), Parker (April), Evan (Zoey), Holly Anne (Michael), Matthew (Mallory), Jacob (Kacey), Morgan (Wes), and Abbigail (Alec) and 14 great-grandchildren.
She took great pleasure in caring for her flowers and enjoyed using her riding lawn mower to maintain her yard. As a passionate sports enthusiast, she supported the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Braves. Everyone who knew and loved her will miss her deeply.
Arrangements are being handled by National Cremation & Burial Society, located at 5641 Highway 90, Milton, Fl, on Tuesday, April 21, Visitation 1:00 – 2:00, Service 2:00-2:45. Graveside 3:00-3:30 at Serenity Gardens, 1208 Stewart St, Milton, FL.
