Lore Else Jones

Lore E. Jones, age 87, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away April 16, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. Lore was born in Mannheim, Germany on March 11, 1932. Lore was married to her husband Don for 50 years until his passing in 2007. She was proud to be a part of a military family traveling with her husband to many military assignments while raising their six children. Lore loved reading and gardening but will be always be remembered as a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart. She is survived by one sister, Christa Herr of Germany; sons Leon H. Jones and wife Jennifer of Salt Lake City, UT, Gerry Jones of Fort Walton Beach, Fl., Johnnie Jones of Bozeman MT; daughters Sonja J. Van Winkle and husband David of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Darlene Robbins and husband William of Fort Walton Beach, FL.; grandchildren Nicholas Jones, Alexis Van Winkle, John Michael Jones and Nathan Jones and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Donald J. Jones and daughter Lisa Jones.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Emerald Coast Hospice and Brookdale Assisted Living for their compassion and loving care in her final days. The National Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of final arrangements. A private family memorial will follow.
