

The family of Lindsay Wayne Horton Jr. regrets to announce his passing on the morning of March 26, 2026 at his home in Milton, FL. Lindsay was born on March 31, 1972 in Westminster, MD, where he lived until moving to Florida at the age of three. Lindsay defined himself and supported his family through a life of hard work. He began working with Keller construction at 19, where he worked for 23 years as a superintendent. During this time, he also served as a lieutenant with the East Milton Fire Department and was named "Firefighter of the Year" for 1999 and received a service award that same year for answering 239 emergency calls. After Keller, he worked with Wind Clan construction and other employers until he retired in 2024. Lindsay lived the last years of his life comfortably at home with his wife Barbara and their dogs Jupiter, Diesel, and Buster. He will be cremated and laid to rest in a private ceremony at Memorial Park.
He is preceded in death by his mother Karen Chalopek, stepfather Robert "Bobby" Chalopek, his father Lindsay Wayne Horton Sr., his brother Brian Chalopek, and his uncle Brad Horton. He is survived by his wife Barbara Horton, children Gaven Wallace and Ezra Byrd, sister Donna Williams and her husband Mike Williams, brother Jason Chalopek and his wife Sarah Chalopek, uncle Jeff Horton and his wife Mary Henry, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the National Cremation and Burial Society.
