Justin Michael McManus

Justin Michael McManus age 29 of Defuniak Springs, Fl. passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2025. Born in Ft. Myers, Fl. of July 2, 1996, Justin brought warmth and strength to all who knew him. Justin was a soft spoken, laid back soul with a heart full of loyalty and compassion. He found joy in late night gaming with friends as well as hunting and fishing with his father and younger brother. His presence was calm and his friendship was unwavering.

Justin worked as a maintenance man at a local nursing home where his Nana lived. He was dearly loved by both residents and his coworkers. His willingness to lend a hand and gentle nature made an impact on everyone he encountered. Justin's bond with his father and younger brother was unbreakable. Justin will be remembered for his loving heart for his family, friends and residents he cared for.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather Gary McManus. He is survived by his father Brandon McManus, Stepmother Brandy McManus, Grandmothers Karen McManus and Cathy Goss, Sister Haylee Hoskins(Chris), Nieces Callie an Emery, Brother Hunter McManus(Rylie) and lifelong friends Jeremy Frost, Girlfriend Michelle, dear friend Ashton, loyal dog Chief and numerous other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asked you to please make contributions to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to support those who are silently struggling.
