James Thomas Ross, age 86, of Navarre, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. He was a United Methodist Minister for 53 years. He served churches in London, England, Andalusia, Brundidge and Auburn, Alabama, and Chipley and Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Nancy; two sons: James Bartlet of Navarre, FL, and Lance Thomas (Shu-Ming) of Knoxville, TN and two grandchildren; Dennis and Jennifer. He also leaves behind his sister: Charlotte Jordan and two brothers: Johnny (ann) and Woodie (Shella).
Jim enjoyed his role as a pastor, counselor, working with youth and visiting members. His study always had an open door. He was chaplain of All Sports Association for 30 years. He was inducted into the All Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
He grew up in Auburn, AL and remained an Auburn Tiger all his life.
