

Homer was Born on April 19, 1932, in Phenix City, AL. Homer lived a full and blessed life spanning nearly a century. In his life; he enlisted in the Navy, worked as a helicopter mechanic, he later retired from Monsanto after 30 years, was small business owner and land developer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Alberta Lisle, both parents, Bruce & Bessie Lisle, brother, Bruce (Christine) Lisle, sister, Barbara Davis, son in law Rocky Hudson I, nephew Gary Olds. He is survived by his son, Homer ”Sparky” Lisle, Jr.(Kathy), daughters Theresa Hudson and Pat Fones (Clyde), sister in law, Elizabeth Stroud, nieces; Gail Goodman, Maria, Carla, and nephews Ronnie & Lynn Lisle, grandchildren; Amy McCartney (Brandon), Kellie Fones, April Thomas (Joshua), Rocky Hudson (Rachel), Casey Fones (KatieBeth), Rosemary Frizzell (Ryan),& Carey Fones (Jessica) great-grandchildren; Cameron (Caroline) Bush, Caleb Fones, Kaia Barge, Kailynn and Kalia Sokpoli. Nathan & Nicholas Helton, Marilyn & Ethan Frizzell, Madeline & Elliott Thomas, Mason Fones, Wyatt & Rylee Fones and Miles & Maxwell Hudson. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family and entrepreneurial-ship. Homer loved his wife Alberta immensely and they traveled the country together looking for the trinkets she loved. They raised their children in Milton and made many great friends that Homer met with regularly, to have a cup of coffee. Some of his notable developments are the land sells that brought Milton, Florida, La Hacienda and Pizza Hut on Highway 90.
A Celebration of Homer’s life will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 1:00 PM at National Cremation and Burial. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00PM. Interment will follow the service in Memory Park Cemetery. Pallbearers Rocky Hudson II, Carey and Casey Fones, Cameron Bush and Caleb Fones, Nathan and Nicholas Helton. Honorary pallbearers, Ethan Frizzell, Elliott Thomas, Maxwell and Miles Hudson, Wyatt and Mason Fones.
