Eddie H Ezell, Jr., 91 years of age, a resident of the Bob Hope Air Force Enlistment Village in Shalimar, FL for 19 years passed away on January 23, 2022 after a lengthy and unexpected illness. He was born in Manila, Arkansas and joined the Air Force in November of 1947. He had a very successful 22+ year career, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant in the summer of 1970. He then began his second career with Industrial Nucleonics Corporation/AccuRay as a Regional Manager. Upon the 1987 early retirement from his second career, he and his beloved Bride, Bobbie, began living their retirement dream as they traveled the roads of our great nation as full time RVers.
Eddie met his Texas “Sweetie”, Bobbie, while stationed at Randolph Air Force Base, where the two would be married on July 8, 1950 and begin a lifetime of adventure. His USAF career took Eddie and family to Japan, Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, Mississippi, Germany, and Kentucky. His second career began in Rome, Georgia, and relocations over the years to Arkansas, South Carolina and Alabama. Then, as full time RVers, they crisscrossed the country. Eddie’s love of travel and learning offered him opportunities to visit small towns and his beloved National Parks across America. He also enjoyed fishing, learning something new each day, and never met strangers, enjoyed sharing his positive outlook on life and his infectious smile with everyone he encountered. He was generous, kind, truthful and believed if anything was worth doing, it was worth doing right the first time and if by chance a mistake was made, to learn from it.
