Clara was born in Brewton, Alabama. Her mother, Ella Mae Thompson, was from Munson, Florida and her father, William Clyde Smith, was from Brewton, Alabama. Her parents met and were married at Stump Springs Baptist Church in Munson, Florida.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Larry Smith.
Clara Dorris is survived by her two daughters, Karen Bodner and Susan Andrews and her son, John Ratzlaff. She is also survived by her step children and grandchildren.
Clara was loving mother. She loved life, art and most of all, her little dog, Bandita.
She will be remembered as the most kind and caring person you could ever meet. She will be dearly missed. Until we meet again beyond the pearly gates of heaven. May she rest in peace.
