Thomas E. Daniel, age 89, of Dawsonville, GA and Lecanto, FL, passed away on January 1, 2025, due to injuries incurred in an auto accident on December 9. Tom was born in Tuscaloosa, AL, a 1954 graduate of Crossville High School (AL) and a proud veteran of the US Air Force.
Tom was the son of Augusta “Gussie” Deason and Earl E. Daniel, and younger brother to Myles Daniel, Sr., Media (Dee) Hollman and Roxanne Fitzner, who all predeceased him. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Dixie Ann (King), daughters Tracie (James III) Dickerson and Melissa (Travis) Hisman, and grandchildren James Dickerson IV, Gracie Dickerson Lowe, Nickolas Moissl, and Ella Hisman, along with several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a father figure to many younger relatives and friends.
Tom was a man of faith, a connoisseur of good Southern food, and an aficionado of Western novels. He was immensely proud of his family. We already miss his handsome face, great advice, and his quick wit. We especially miss his hugs.
Please join us for a memorial service on March 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Crossings Church, 2106 Old Pendergrass Road, Jefferson, GA 30549. Reverend Chris Stevens presiding. We will share some scripture, some of his favorite music, and an irreverent story or two. A luncheon will follow.
