Fayetteville GA, Davenport FL, and Marshfield, ME – Mary M. Beal (79) passed away, February 1st 2023 at the Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, GA after courageously battling multiple health issues. She was born January 10th, 1944 to the late Phyllis Easley Morrill Gray and Charles A. Morrill of Dexter and Machias, ME. Mary graduated from Machias Memorial High School in 1962. Shortly thereafter, she married the absolute love of her life and soulmate, William N. Beal Sr. (Bill). They moved to Connecticut where they resided for 6 years before returning to Machias in 1968 and opening the Sears Roebuck Catalog Store where they worked side by side for the next 25 years. She continued to work in the Machias area until 2003 when she moved to Davenport, Florida to retire and be closer to her sons and grandchildren. Her love of family was like no other. Always exuding a spirit of unconditional love and selflessness that became the example and gold standard for her children and grandchildren. She had an adventurous spirit and spent many years camping, fishing, and traveling. She loved joining her mother, Phyllis, at the Bingo Hall. She loved to cook and provide for her family who could always count on a delicious spaghetti and meatball “feed” for all special occasions. The only thing that may have rivaled her love of her 3 sons would have been the admiration she had for her 5 grandchildren. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Tarpon Springs, FL. Mary loved the Lord and exemplified this in the way she lived her life.
Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Bill. They were devoted to each other and married for 56 years. Mary is survived by 3 sons: William Jr. and wife Melony (Totman) of Tyrone, GA, Stephen of Tyrone, GA and Peter and wife Stephanie (Warner) of Davenport, FL. Five precious grandchildren; Kelsey, Jacob, Kirby, Daniel, and Kayla. Brother Maxwell (Gene) Gray of Machias, ME. Sister-in-law Sara Lou Beal of Bradley, ME. Aunt Ila Palmer of New Port Richey, FL.
