Jack Wayne Robinson, a beloved, brave, and devoted man, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 96. Jack was born on March 22, 1929, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a resident of Snellville, Georgia.
Jack enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and served as a Korean War veteran. Upon returning home, he graduated from Oklahoma A & M. He then worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for approximately 20 years. During his time with Phillips, he was transferred to Atlanta, Georgia, where he met his first wife, Sara Robison, to whom he was married for 25 years. Together, they had two children: Sherryl Dorch and Mike Robinson. Jack was a devoted and loving father, coaching Mike's little league team and teaching him how to play golf. After Sara's passing, Jack met his second wife, Peggy McNair, with whom he shared 25 wonderful years. His family grew to include stepchildren, Scott Stallings, Pam Akin, and Jeff Stallings.
Jack enjoyed woodworking, golf, and had a profound love for animals. He also enjoyed traveling. His commitment to community service was evident through his volunteer work with Happy Tails, where therapy dogs visited those who could benefit from animal enrichment, and at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where he rocked babies alongside his wife, Peggy.
Jack's deep love for his country, family, and pets was a testament to his character and legacy. Special thanks are extended to Jack's caregiver, Joann Sims, for her unwavering support.
Jack was preceded in death by his wives, Sara Robinson and Peggy Robinson. He is survived by his daughter, Sherryl Dorch (Robert Dorch) and their children, Philip Dorch and Abby Dorch; his son, Mike Robinson (Connie Robinson) and their daughter, Anna Robinson; and his stepchildren, Scott Stallings (Jenny Stallings), Pam Akin (Marvin Akin), and Jeff Stallings (Jim Winters) and their children.
A Committal Service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, GA 30114.
