OBITUARY
Howard J. Everett
July 30, 1938 – March 7, 2023

Howard J. Everett, age 84, of Cumming, Georgia, formerly of Brooksville, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2023. Howard was born to the late Jesse Coleman Everett and the late Theresa Ammann Everett on July 30, 1938 in Trenton, New Jersey. He was one of two children. Howard lost his father at only 13 years old. He matured quickly and learned how to work hard and live frugally.
Howard was married to the love of his life, Sally Jane, and had four children: Keith, Kimmie, Kevin and Marykay. He raised his children to consider all aspects of decisions almost to a fault; he also taught them to be patient and how to be a good spouse.
Howard had served his country in the U.S. Navy and also in the U.S. Air Force for a total of 11+ years. He gained programming and leadership skills while in the military and was honorably discharged as a decorated SSgt. He spent his post Air Force career as a data analyst until retiring in 2002.
Howard had an appreciation of the outdoors, a joy that he picked up from his many aunts and uncles. He enjoyed fishing, golf and gardening. After retirement, he found time to cruise, gamble, travel, visit friends and spend time with every grandchild. He played countless card games with his wife because he knew it made her happy. Of everything he shared, he was a prime example of how to be the glue of your family – you must practice patience with each other.
In addition to his parents, Howard is preceded by his wife of 58 years, Sally Jane Harriman Everett; daughter, Kimberly “Kimmie” Everett; sister, Joan Everett Seaurkamp; and son in law, Joseph Lindtner. He is survived by his children, Keith A. Everett (Susie), Kevin A. Everett and Marykay Lindtner (partner, Augustus Walker Bachman); grandchildren, Thomas Lindtner, Jessica Grubb, David Everett, Caitie Stevenson, Rachel Everett, Danny Everett and James Everett; 8 great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 19, 2023 at St. Matthew Church (Holy Trinity) 11 School Street, Plymouth, New Hampshire 03264. A committal service will follow at Green Grove Cemetery Main Street, Ashland, New Hampshire 03217.
