Gwen Warmels

Gwen B. Warmels, age 79 of Calhoun, GA, passed away suddenly, and unexpectedly, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Advent Health Redmond. Gwen was born on July 26, 1943, in Sylacauga, AL to Leon and Maureen Burson. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Gwen is survived by her daughter, Carrie Milam, and her husband Scott; two brothers, Marty Burson and Sam Burson; nephew, Robert Brown; two grandchildren, Michael Tye (Melissa) and Caroline Tye; two great grandchildren; Mia and Laramie and her longtime companion; Charles Robison. Gwen was also blessed with a blended family of three bonus grandsons, Scott Milam (Jessica), Nathan Milam (Stephanie) and Josh Milam (Jordan); and 4 bonus great grandchildren. A celebration of the life of Gwen will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Marty Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 2 PM until the funeral hour at 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
