She was born in Hollywood, California later moving and growing up in Marietta, Georgia. Doreen graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1960 and worked as a customer service representative at Georgia Power. She enjoyed water skiing as a teenager and later gardening, painting, woodcarving, and playing Indian flutes. Doreen was a big supporter of the VFW in connection with her late husband, Darrell Bigelow. She spent countless hours volunteering at Post 2681.
Doreen is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Reva Davey. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Bramblett; son, Wesley Bramblett; granddaughters, Tamatha Hearn and Jessica Bramblett; and great-grandchildren, Channing Heard, Jacob Preuss, (Tink) Everleigh Hearn, and Ophelia Boldra (Fredi Rae).
