

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dr. Cynthia "Cindy" Rudert on November 29, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on March 17, 1955, Dr. Rudert was a pioneering force in the field of gastroenterology and a compassionate healer whose life's work transformed countless lives.
A Legacy in Medicine
Dr. Rudert was a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a practice dedicated to the diagnosis and management of Celiac disease. Over her remarkable career, she cared for over 1,000 patients with Celiac disease and gluten sensitivity, cultivating one of the largest and most specialized practices in the United States.
Her passion extended far beyond her office. Dr. Rudert was renowned for her comprehensive approach to medicine, focusing on uncovering the root causes of gastrointestinal disorders to provide personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. With over 500 speaking engagements across the United States and abroad, she was a tireless advocate for educating physicians, patients, and the public on Celiac disease and other gastrointestinal conditions, including pancreatic disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Her dedication and expertise have left an indelible mark on the medical community.
Beloved Family
Dr. Rudert is survived by her two cherished sons, Henry Byron Hilley and Ronald Lamar Hilley, who were her pride and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance that will continue to inspire those she loved most.

She had an unparalleled ability to connect with people, whether through her work as a physician, her engaging lectures, or her everyday interactions.
