Christina Alexander DeLong, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the age of 59. She was born to the late Bill J. Alexander and the late Karen “Kay” Collins Alexander on July 25, 1965, in Marietta, Georgia. She was baptized at Roswell Street Baptist Church and followed the Baptist faith throughout her life.
Christina was a lifelong Georgia resident who graduated from Osborne High School in 1983. In 1988, she graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a dedicated telecommunications specialist with Sprint whose career spanned over 15 years.
Over the years, Christina battled numerous challenges, facing hardships that would have broken many, yet she was an unwavering fighter. Her strength, resilience, and ability to face most days with a smile were a testament to her character.
Her greatest accomplishment in life was her children who she loved fiercely. She dedicated her life to them and cherished being a mother. Christina loved her Kappa Delta Sorority Sisters and considered them to be family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Christina’s memory will be treasured by her daughter, Morgan DeLong Friedrich (James Friedrich), and her son, Colton DeLong (Lila Langford).
