

Raymond A. LaHaie, 84, died May 18, 2021. Ray was born 8/28/1936 in Cheboygan MI. to Joe and Hulda LaHaie. After graduating from high school in 1954 Ray moved to Flint and worked for AC spark plug where he served his apprenticeship as a millwright. In September of 1957 he married Bernice Peets. Together they raised five children. In 1965 they moved to Gaylord MI working for U.S. Plywood and later Mayfair Plastics. In 1975 Ray took a job with G.M. Parts in Swartz Creek retiring in 2005 at the age of 69.
He enjoyed many hunting trips with friends and sons including trips to Africa with his son-in-law John Thurmon. Ray was proceeded in death by his son James, his parents Joe and Hulda, 3 brothers Richard, Paul, and Edward. He is survived by his wife Bernice, two sons Mark (Patricia), Andy (Debbie), two daughters Lynn (John) Thurmon, Mary (Lannie) Campbell, three brothers Robert (Sharon), Bernard(Mary Jo), Ralph (Mary Kay), two sisters Carolyn Boda, Eileen Brandt, four sisters-in-law, Sharon LaHaie, Sally LaHaie, Helen Bergstrom, Julie Seaman, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
There will be a grave side burial service on July 12th 2021 at Sunset Hills in Flint MI.
Memorial service was held at Saint Edwards Catholic Church in Spring TX on May 22nd.
