OBITUARY
Lola Fay Stanton
August 28, 1941 – March 9, 2023

Lola Faye Plumlee Stanton went to be with her Lord on March 9, 2023, and is enjoying the fruits of her labor following Jesus’ directions.
Lola grew up in Galt, California. She met her husband, Capt. Edward (Ed) Joseph Stanton (USAF) in Sacramento, California. They married in 1964 and moved to Homestead Air Force base in South Florida where they had three wonderful children. They settled in Houston, Texas, where the family has lived for over 50 years.
Lola and Ed loved to travel. They have enjoyed many cruises; their favorite being the Alaskan cruise. They also had a group of friends who traveled by RV all over the United States. Lola’s favorite places to meet up with the RV crew were the Texas Hill Country near Fredericksburg and Durango, Colorado.
Lola was very involved in her children’s lives and volunteered in many of their activities. Being a creative person, Lola was always working on various crafts. She especially liked working on Christmas and cross-stitch projects which she would display throughout her home.
Lola is survived by her husband, Ed Stanton; son Joe Stanton and wife Dorothy of Rhode Island; daughter Leanne Stanton Jacobson and husband Michael of Arkansas; and son Lowell Stanton and wife Christina of Texas, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lola is preceded in death by her mother Audie (Owensby) Plumlee; father Lowell Maynard Plumlee; sisters Joyce Plumlee Green, Doris Plumlee Green Frost and Kay Plumlee Cox Stewart; beloved twin brother Lowell (Ray) Plumlee; and brother Grady Plumlee.
