It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Kerry Anne Rooney, 53, of Houston, Texas, on May 9, 2026. Kerry passed away surrounded by her sisters and extended family after a long battle with multiple chronic conditions.
Born on July 6, 1972, in Long Island, New York, Kerry was the youngest daughter of the late Michael and Jeanne Rooney. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Joy Rooney (Kenneth Hajdik), Kathleen Sanders (Loren), and Maureen Doyle (Kirk Juranek); her brother, Matthew Rooney; her aunt and uncle, Robert and Susan Rooney; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as her beloved companion & pet Odie. Kerry was predeceased by her her parents in 2014 and 2017.
The family will gather for a private remembrance at a time to be determined. We will share those details with you at a later date.
While Kerry will be dearly missed, we are grateful that she is no longer suffering and is now at peace.
