Aunt Jeanine, I don't know how to put into words what you meant to me. You were the most creative person I've ever known, and that spirit was in everything you did, even when you'd visit and insisted you’d make your famous French toast just because you knew it was my favorite. Those memories weren't just food, they were you showing me love in the way you knew best.

You always pushed me toward theater and toward my creative side, and you believed in that part of me before I fully believed in it myself. Every time I’d preform or make something I'm proud of, some part of that will always be you.

I loved you so, so much, and I will carry your french toast and your encouragement with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for seeing me and for always wanting the best.

My sister was a proud Houstonian, Jeanine was a force in the local beauty industry. As a highly influential hairdresser, she was the visionary owner of  successful salons across Houston. Her work went far beyond styling hair; Jeanine had an innate ability to make everyone who sat in her chair feel seen, valued, and beautiful. Over her decades-long career, her clients became her extended family, and her salons were filled with laughter, deep connection, and lifelong friendships. She was profoundly cherished by her clientele, who will remember her not just for her immense talent, but for her warm, listening ear and generous opinions.

Jeanine's life mission was helping animals. She spent her lifetime rescuing, fostering, and advocating for vulnerable dogs and cats. Whether she was actively volunteering with local Houston pet rescues or personally taking in an animal in need, her home and heart always had room for one more. She was a fierce champion for the voiceless, and many four-legged friends lived beautiful lives because of her devotion.

Jeanine will be deeply missed but never forgotten by the countless who loved her and the animal lives she touched.
