Thomas Gordon Butler

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Charlie Butler, and his sister Ginger Natolis.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jane Walker Butler, his daughter, Whitney Butler, granddaughters Kaleigh Butler Kantor and Elizabeth Brooke Kantor and dear friend and niece, Berniece Guthrie.

Tom was a graduate of Landon High School and the University of Florida. Following graduation from University of Florida with a degree in Civil Engineering, he served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as Captain. He led a successful career in construction as he contributed to building much of the Jacksonville skyline during his career with The Auchter Company.

He was strong in his faith and generously served Southside Methodist Church as a founding member of the Asbury Class and by participating in mission trips.

Visitation will be prior to Celebration of Life and following at reception, August 16, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM, Southside Methodist Church Chapel at 3120 Hendricks Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32207.
