Karen Susan Ratchford, nee Rivers, of Jacksonville, Florida died on June 15, 2021 at the age of 72. Karen was born on September 22, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Terry Parker High School and Mercer University. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and preserving memories through scrapbooking. She lived her life devoted to God and to her Lord Jesus Christ. She was an amazing and caring wife, a loving, devoted mother, and a proud and doting “Gigi”. She will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile and blue eyes, her creativity and love of life, and her generosity and sweetness of spirit.
She is survived by her husband Arnold Ratchford of Jacksonville, Florida, son Casey Ratchford (Shelby) of Jacksonville, Florida, son Travis Ratchford (Stephani) of Marion, NC, and granddaughter Samantha Ratchford.
A Memorial Service for Karen Ratchford will be held on Wednesday June 23, 2021 with visitation at 10:00am and the service at 11:00am at West Side Baptist Church 7775 Herlong Rd., Jacksonville, Florida 32210. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice and Palliative Care.
