
Born and raised in Abington, Michael led a life full of purpose, compassion, and creativity. A dedicated educator, he earned his master’s degree in math and spent most of his career as a teacher. He was known for his encouragement of students and his deep love of learning.
Throughout his life, Michael lived in various places, always bringing his warmth and sense of humor with him. Michael was an accomplished pianist and organist. He found joy in giving back to the community by playing piano for residents in a local rest home, offering comfort and connection through music. He also had a deep love for cooking and delighted in preparing meals for friends and family.
Michael is survived by his beloved spouse, Bill Turnier, and his siblings: William Donovan and his wife Janis, Sheila Leonard and her husband Richard, Colleen Greenlaw and her husband Jonathan, Sean Donovan and his wife Kathy. He was a treasured brother, uncle and friend who will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to others.
