Annie J. Nix

Annie Jane Poppell Nix, 81, passed away August 7, 2011, at 10 am in Neptune Beach surrounded by her loving family. Born in Perry, Florida on December 21, 1929, to Elbert Virgil and Annie Lenora Poppell; Jane was a lifelong resident of Florida and most recently a resident of Pablo Towers. She worked as a medical transcriptionist at Humana Hospital for many years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mama, you are dearly loved and cherished by your family. We will never forget you.

Jane was preceded in death by Otis Foy Nix. She is survived by her sister Josie Messer of Clearwater Beach, Florida and her brother Elbert Poppell of San Diego, California; loving children: Patricia (Rev. Ron) Schultz, Michael Foy Nix, Rebecca (Emmett) Rekitt, Pastor Bonita “Bonnie” Jane N. Donovan, loving niece Leslie Kay Poppell Young and nephew David Elbert Poppell; 12 grandchildren: Lisa Cheri Hill, Christian Schultz, Christopher Schultz, Natalie Rekitt Suda, Lenora Ann Benson, Stephanie Jane Ayres, John Bradley Donovan, Sarah Jane Donovan, Caleb Andrew Donovan, Benjamin Patrick Donovan, Lily Anne Donovan and Sandra Poucher; and 8 great-grandchildren: Brittany Amber Clark, Jacob Christopher Schultz, Alexis Bailee Suda, Sterling Nathaniel Benson, Spencer Gabriel Benson, Hope Elizabeth Ayres, Janie Rebecca Ayres and Tolen Rekitt Ayres.
