Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to co-found Double H Riding Horse Stables in St. Philips, Indiana. This venture showcased her passion for horses and her ability to create thriving businesses.
Sharon's life took a romantic turn when she met her husband, Tommy Carr, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Together, they built a successful business and shared a love for adventure. Their 31-year marriage was a testament to their shared values and their zest for life.
Sharon's love for the outdoors was evident in her hobbies. She enjoyed boating, diving, and airboating, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico and Homosassa River. Her adventurous spirit led her to Colorado, where she owned a home in Villa Grove and established Carr Timber Products. She also owned the Bonanza Inn Lodge and a restaurant, further demonstrating her entrepreneurial flair.
Sharon loved exploring the Colorado wilderness, snowmobiling through its majestic mountains, and observing its diverse wildlife. She was fascinated by the intricate details of the alpine flora and fauna, and her adventures often took her to remote areas, where she encountered elk, deer, and even bears.
Sharon's legacy will live on through the countless people she touched throughout her life. Her entrepreneurial spirit, love for adventure, and zest for life will continue to inspire others.
Sharon Carr's passing has left a void in the hearts of her loved ones. Her survivors include her brothers, Jerry I. Hargett of Mount Vernon, Indiana, and James D. Hargett of Madisonville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her companion, Lou R., and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Tommy Carr, and her siblings: Donald A. Hargett, Jack L. Hargett, Robert A. Hargett, Delores J. Hargett Martin, and William M. Hargett.
The loss of a loved one is a deeply painful experience. The family of Sharon Carr will undoubtedly cherish the memories they shared with her and find solace in the love and support of their loved ones during this difficult time.
Burial will be at Villa Grove Cemetery in Villa Grove, Colorado with Pastor Bob Adams officiating.
