Linda Lou Spivey

Linda Lou Spivey, age 74, of Hudson, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born November 2, 1949 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to Frank Oliver and Ruth Moore.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald and Robert Oliver, and great nephew Matthew Guy Clarkson.

Linda is survived by her children Michael Sellari (Sybil) and Lorie Sellari, sister Mary Gaye Gill (Richard), niece Tracy Gill Clarkson, 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews.

As a retired caregiver, her choice of career was a demonstration of her dedication and love for family, friends, and others. She also had careers in electronics assembly and inventory control.

Linda was a member of the West Virginia Society, enjoying the company of other natives of her home state which she loved dearly. Her charitable contributions included St. Jude Children's Hospital and the ASPCA, which she kept in her prayers and thoughts.

She enjoyed crocheting, dancing, bingo, and nature (birds,hummingbirds). Linda cherished her animal companions Tess and Skittles. Her true passion was traveling, with the height being an Alaskan trip in 2012, her dad’s dream vacation, which Linda was able to do as a tribute to her father Frank.

A celebration of life service will be held in a private ceremony with close friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and/or the ASPCA in Linda’s name.

A memorial service is planned at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in the New Port Richey area, address is below. We’re planning on a gravesite service with limited covered seating (12-24 seats) on Monday June 10th at 10am. Service will be a few family members speaking and will be very casual. If the weather is bad, service will be held inside the funeral home.
