He was born June 22, 1943 in Woodstock, IL to Ancel and Edith Howell.
On August 13, 2000 he married Kathleen Cummings in Spring Hill.
For 25 years he owned Howell’s Carpet in Woodstock. After moving to Spring Hill, he worked at The Dunes golf club and Heritage Pines golf club. He and Kathy bought a diner, successfully working it together until his retirement.
Over the years Ken enjoyed building model cars and boats, growing flowers, listening to oldies, and spending time in the company of his and Kathy’s beloved cats. Up until his final days he proclaimed Tombstone to be the greatest movie ever.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Cummings Howell, three children, Elizabeth (Steve) Sanders, Jennifer (Patrick O’Halleran) Howell, and Andrew Howell; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Sturgill Hospice House in Spring Hill for their brief time giving Ken peace and quiet before entering into new life.
