Janice's Christian faith was an important part of her life and inspired her to serve others. In the 1970s and 1980s, while attending Hollywood Lutheran Church in California, she volunteered with Centrum of Hollywood, a Christian ministry serving young people who came to Hollywood seeking a new start. Janice spent many years volunteering with Lifeline, Centrum's 24-hour crisis phone ministry, and supporting its emergency shelters near Hollywood Boulevard.
Through this work, she helped people in crisis find shelter, food, warmth, and encouragement.
Janice became godmother to Timothy S.
Bolland, and she remained a caring presence in his life. Her years serving through Centrum were a meaningful part of her life and reflected her compassion and commitment to her faith.
After moving to Florida, Janice became a longtime, active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Brooksville. She served as an usher, sang in the church choir, and helped prepare meals for people experiencing homelessness.
She had a lovely singing voice and enjoyed singing both on her own and with others.
Janice worked as a certified paralegal for 16 years. She was known for her spirited personality, kindness, and dedication. She also enjoyed traveling and photography.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 475 North Avenue West,
Brooksville, Florida 34601.
