He was born on October 6th, 1943, in Bronx, New York to Alfred and Rose (Spano) DePetrillo. Married to his loving wife of 56 years, Judy (Mensch) DePetrillo, in Yonkers, New York. Dominick was a veteran of the Army, a retired New York City Transit Police Officer, and the retired Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Family Organization of Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties. He had many passions in life, he loved cooking and especially eating. The words he lived by were “Some people eat to live; I live to eat.” He loved all kinds of music, especially his 50’s Doo Wop. Dominick and Judy traveled the world together, but Italy was always his favorite place. He would often be found watching sports (of any kind, but his favorites were football and boxing) or educational television shows. Every year he would plant a garden filled with vegetables that he would share with his neighbors and family. His kindness and love knew no bounds and he touched the lives of many people.
Dominick is survived by his wife Judy, daughters Nicole (Keith) Bilbro of Tennessee and Stacey Gillette of Dunedin. As well as his brother Michael DePetrillo of Georgia and grandchildren Brian Bilbro of Tennessee and Gia Gillette of Dunedin.
