

Earl was the youngest child of eleven born on May 16, 1938 in Brady, Texas. As an adult, his first career choice was the USNC where he served as a Seaman Recruit and was discharged honorably for medical reasons.
Earl then chose the oilfield profession to support his family. Due to his physical challenges, he became an expert at creating new tools and ways to complete the tasks that arose.
He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for decades and was passionate about buying/selling/and working on antique cars.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and youngest grandson, Daniel Selman. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Barbara Selman; son David Selman and spouse Leslie Tisdale; son Robert Selman; daughter Debbie Yancey and spouse Melvin Yancey; grandchildren Dusty Yancey and spouse Tiffany Yancey, and Crystin Ferrari and spouse Anthony Ferrari; great-grandchildren Taley Ferrari, Cooper Ferrari, Kenzie Ferrari, Macie Ferrari, Kelsi Yancey, and Landon Yancey.
Funeral services will be held at Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive on Friday, July 9 at 1:45 (line up at gate should begin no earlier than 1:30).
Reception to follow at the Selman home at 500 Richardson in Spring, Texas.
This is a military service so flowers must not be delivered to the chapel cemetery, but deliver directly to the family home instead.
