On February 15th, 1958 Michael Dean Voelz was born to Robert and Marion Voelz in Greeley, Colorado where he grew up with 3 siblings; Jerry, Greg, and Lynn. After graduating high school, Mike followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, and father by working at Meadow Gold Dairy in Greeley. He continued to work there for 37 years before his retirement. While working at Meadow Gold he met lifelong friends that became family, as well as the love of his life, Cora. Cora and Mike were married on February 15th, 2006. Their love is profound, faithful, and dedicated. They shared a love for their children, grandchildren, and dogs. This world is a little less bright without him. Mike, or Pops, has always been a man of his word and loved us all so deeply. He was kind, loving, giving, protective, and respectful. He had a passion for reading, puzzles, airplanes, and the stars. Pops left this world holding the hand of his wife, Cora, on November 14th, 2022. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert; brother, Jerry; daughter, Pam; mother, Marion; and Great Granddaughter, Hendryx. Pops (Mike) is survived by his wife, Cora; brother, Greg; Sister, Lynn; daughters: Tanya, Aspen, and Juju; stepdaughter, Margarita; granddaughters: Nina, Maddy, and Taylor; grandsons: Dominique, Kaiden, Larry, Junior, and D’Angelo; great-grandChildren: Esmeralda, Michael, Palmira, Promise, Ana, Izayah, Nana, and Josiah; many nieces and nephews; and all of his Meadow Gold family. ------------------- When tomorrow starts without me And I’m not here to see If the sun should rise and find your eyes Are filled with tears for me I wish so much you wouldn’t cry The way you did today While thinking of the many things We didn’t get to say I know how much you love me As much as I love you And each time you think of me I know you’ll miss me too But when tomorrow starts without me Please try to understand That an angel came and called my name And took me by the hand And said my place was ready In Heaven far above And that I’d have to leave behind All those I dearly love But when I walked through Heaven’s gate I felt so much at home When God looked down and smiled at me From His great golden throne He said this is eternity And all I promised you Today your life on earth is past But here it starts anew I promise no tomorrow For today will always last And since each day’s the same way There’s no longing for the past So when tomorrow starts without me Don’t think we’re far apart For every time you think of me I’m right here in your heart - David M.
