Denver, CO – Jordan Lee Harris was born in Las Cruces, NM on February 25, 1981 and went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 5, 2025. Jordan’s early years were lived in Hatch, NM, until his family moved to Lubbock, TX in 1990. In 2003, Jordan moved to Denver, CO. While living in Lubbock, TX, Jordan graduated from Coronado High School and received his Associate Degree from South Plains College.
Jordan loved life with a passion and always said he was going to do all the things he wanted to do and do them now since a person never knows how long they will live. Jordan was a very avid and expert skier and his ski weekends usually encompassed 3 to 4 days. Jordan became a very experienced mountain climber as well and had climbed over half of the 14er’s in Colorado, many of those, several times. He had a yearning to travel to Thailand and went there on a 3 week excursion several years ago. Most of these things, you don’t normally do alone and with his very outgoing personality and smile, Jordan built up a huge number of friends over his years.
Jordan’s biggest accomplishment was becoming a Dad to Laela Jane Harris in 2006 and to Grace Leeann Harris in 2010. Laela and Grace survive their Dad along with Jordan’s parents, Kevin and Cathy Harris, brother Brad Harris and nieces Kensey and Kennedy Harris. Jordan is also survived by his Maternal Grandparents, Henry and Patsy Trujillo along with many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.
Jordan was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Freddie and Corene Harris.
Jordan’s funeral service will take place at the First Baptist Church in Hatch, NM at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, with a fellowship and lunch immediately after at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church parish hall in Hatch, NM. Celebration of Life Services will also take place in Denver, CO and Lubbock, TX at later dates, yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jordan’s memory to the charity of your choice.
Jordan, in his 44 short years of life here on earth, made a huge impact on a whole lot of people, like many of you reading this obituary for him. That was just Jordan being Jordan. When he cared for you or loved you, you knew it; it just showed. What many of you may not know is that YOU also made a profound impact on him, and many of you, also on us. We, as his family, extend our heartfelt appreciation to every single one of you who played a part in his life and for all the thoughts and prayers you have expressed to and for us. Jordan would tell you that you will never be forgotten and we know he won’t be forgotten either, by any of Us.
