Jon was a great Marine and an amazing man. A natural athlete, a gamer, a believer in right and wrong, and a truly loyal friend who always put others before himself. Jon was humble and you had to discover those qualities for yourself. If you knew Jon personally, these noble characteristics would be abundantly clear very quickly. He made you feel like you were on the center stage of a one-person show—the only other person in the world. He listened with a deep sense of empathy, always fully engaged, showing genuine concern, intrigue, and compassion. When you needed someone who could truly understand what you were going through, Jon was there for you. No matter the circumstances—whether going through a tough breakup, battling a deadly disease, needing help to move furniture, deep into a gaming raid, grieving a lost family member, celebrating a special event, or literally fighting terrorists. He left us far too early, but he touched enough lives for a hundred lifetimes. He will be dearly missed.
Jon leaves behind his mother and father, JoAnn & Gary Hibbard, Sr., brother, Gary Hibbard, Jr., & Sister-in-law, Eva Osorio.
Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington Virginia at a later date.
