It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edna W. Williams, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, at the age of 94. Edna was born in Sanford, FL, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Dave, Cecelia, Margaret, Pearl, and LaVon. She was also a cherished grandmother to a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Miss Edna is remembered for her kind heart, unwavering spirit, infectious sense of humor, cookies, and stories. She is a retired Endoscopy and ER nurse who helped found the Endoscopy unit at General Rose Memorial Hospital (now Rose Medical Center), where she worked thrifty-five and a half years. She was a passionate volunteer at the Denver Public Library System, Denver's daycare center, and schools, a talented cook, and a devoted community member. Edna is one of fifteen children survived by a brother and sister, children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, surrounded by loving and dedicated neighbors and many other loving family and friends.
As our mother requested, there will be no formal funeral service. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to the following. In memory and honor of Edna W. Williams to:
