A lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rawlins, Wyoming, David was a Fourth Degree Knight and held a deep commitment to his faith. His strong beliefs provided him with peace and guidance throughout his life.
David’s 43-year marriage to his life partner, Lee Ann Barela, was defined by their shared love of camping, fishing, and exploring the outdoors. Together, they enjoyed frequent trips to auctions and garage sales, where they found joy in discovering unique treasures. Friends often referred to them as “peanut butter and jelly,” a testament to how inseparable they were.
