Connie Jo Elliott

Connie Jo Elliott, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend peacefully passed away on Friday, April 25 with her husband at their home in Fort Collins, CO. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. at the Loveland Church of Christ at 4100 S Taft. She was born on October 24, 1944 to Merrill Arthur and Blanch Pauline King of Fort Collins. Connie graduated from Holyoke High School in 1962. She married James Rolland Elliott on June 6th, 1963 in Fort Collins, CO at the Whitcomb Church of Christ. Connie is survived by her husband Jim of 61 years, son James Elliott of Denver and son Gary Elliott and wife Wendi (who was loved as one of her own) of Wellington, CO. She was a proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren: Travis Elliott and wife Kayla of Wellington, CO, Savanah Barron and husband Mitch of Wellington, CO, Holly Bending and husband Austin of Englewood, CO, and Lacee Elliott of Wellington, CO. She adored her two great-grandchildren Tobias and Anneleise Bending and was known as Grammy Gram-Gram. Connie is survived by her sister Marilyn Sue Mason and husband Russell of Bailey, CO and half-sister Catherine Moore of Altoona, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents Merrill and Blanch King of Fort Collins, CO. She gave birth to her two sons James and Gary in Laramie, WY and raised them in both Laramie and Craig, CO. She worked in child-care, was a secretary for Colorado State University Extension Office in Craig and assisted her husband with the Bee-Keeping business in Craig. Some of her many talents included cake decorating for birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, sewing, knitting, teaching bible classes, and encouraging many with her card ministry. She enjoyed being an Elder’s wife, studying the scriptures and had read through the Bible many times. She was a devoted member of the Loveland Church of Christ. Connie touched many lives and made everyone feel seen and loved. She will be forever missed. Contributions can be made to Mountain States Children’s Home in Longmont, CO.
