
Carol Elizabeth Brown/McCallister was born in Tyler, Texas on September 12, 1940 to Raymond Edward Brown and Clarissia Elizabeth Brown. Carol attended Kellom Elementary and graduated from Omaha Technical High in Omaha Nebraska in 1958. After moving to Denver Colorado where she met and was married to Rogers McCallister for 51 years. Carol attended University of Colorado, Colorado Women’s Collage and Argosy University. After working at Martin Marietta sixteen years and Emily Griffith Opportunity School ten years, Carol opened Champion Typing Academy in August 1986, where she trained over 7000 individuals before becoming a government contractor where she incorporated a transitional Veteran jobs program called Honorable Comfort/Corps in memory of her husband Rogers McCallister, an “Army STRONG” disabled Veteran. They had no children.
Carol leaves to cherish her memory, Celestia M Walker, sister, Bonnie R. Major, Sister, a huge Brown family, a host of nieces and nephews and Rogers McCallister’s family. As a servant for God, Carol made a difference.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 at 1:00pm at The Peoples Presbyterian Church 2780 York St Denver CO 80205.
Flowers may be sent to the church the morning of the service.
