William A. Boger passed away on December 22, 2025, in Clearwater, FL at the age of 79. He was born July 24,1946, to Alice (Gertrude) and William M, Boger. As a child, growing up in Garden City, Long Island, he was close to his siblings and cousins and was a choir boy. He graduated from Hamilton College in 1968. In his early career, he worked as an insurance underwriter and a letter carrier. After moving to Florida, he was employed with the St. Petersburg Times for over 40 years as a distribution manager.
He has lived in Gulfport, Pinellas Park, and Largo. Additionally, William spent countless summers in Southold, Long Island, both as a child and as an adult. He was heavily involved in his daughter's and grandchildren's lives. He loved spending time with family, taking trips to Costa Rica with his daughters, and walking more than 8 miles daily. He rode a motorcycle for a season, had a bone-dry sense of humor, and was fiercely independent. He helped his family in any way he could, and was always there for every birthday, graduation, school event, Trick or Treat, Easter egg hunt, and tragedy.
He will be eternally missed by his 4 daughters Christine (Ryan), Melissa, Jennifer, and Kelly, former son in law Dan, his grandchildren Colton, Ava, Hayden, and Amber, his brother Peter, his sister Candy, and his nieces and nephews Levi (Jessica), Lauren, and James (Anna), and Cousin Susan (Dean). He was predeceased by his Granddaughter Anna, and his cousins Bobby and Barbara.
We will miss you, Daddy, "Pa", "Opa". Thank you for so much love, and for so many memories. He was there for all the times-good and bad. He was there when we needed him, and boy did we ever. More than anyone will ever know.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, January 17th at Calvary Episcopal Church, Indian Rocks Beach.
