Sigfrid Rasmussen

RASMUSSEN, Sigfrid 95, Largo, FL, died Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Suncoast Hospice, St. Petersburg, FL. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on April 25, 1931. Her parents were Gust and Svanhild Sennes. Sig moved with her husband, Charley, to Florida in 1980. She was preceded in death by Charley in 2012. Sig is survived by her daughter, Susan Gordon of Conway, SC; 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Gallagher and Stephanie Pilz, of NY, and Jessica Gordon, of FL; & 6 great-grandchildren, Nickole, Daniel, Madison, Jacob, Logan and Ryan. Sig is also survived by her brother, Gary and wife Renée of Floral City, FL, and their children, Gary Joe, Sherrie, Scott, and 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Sig is also survived by her brother Thomas of NY, his children, Andrew and Kristianna; and 2 grandchildren. Sig is also preceded in death by her sister Carol Lacey, who four children, Kevin, Steven, Rebecca and David, and 12 grandchildren. Sig is also preceded in death by another sister, Jean Rose, who had seven children, Bruce, Carl, Janet, Jimmy, Mike, Carolyn, and Jeffery, and 17 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Sig and her husband, Charley, were formerly managers of Rainbow Village RV Park in Largo. She was a long-time member of the Rainbow Village Church and loved by all in both the church and the RV Park. She was known for her crochet and craft talents, creating beautiful blankets and colorful decorations, which were generously given to others frequently. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, 10:30 a.m., in the Hall at Rainbow Village Park, 11911 66th Street North, Largo, FL, 33773, during the morning service of Rainbow Village Church, with Pastor Paul Elmore officiating. Interment will be with her late husband at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760.
