Pearlie Mae Wilson, 89, of St. Petersburg, Florida, peacefully departed this life on July 12, 2026. Born on January 13, 1937, Pearlie lived a life marked by faith, hard work, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and community.
A dedicated and dependable worker, Pearlie retired from Environmental Services at St. Anthony's Hospital after many years of faithful service. In retirement, her passion for helping others continued through her work with the Foster Grandparents Program in Pinellas County Schools, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children with her kindness, encouragement, and gentle spirit.
Pearlie was a longtime and faithful member of 20th Street Church of Christ, where her steadfast faith guided her throughout her life. She was known for her caring heart, quiet strength, and willingness to serve others.
As the last surviving child of thirteen brothers and sisters, Pearlie carried with her a lifetime of cherished family memories and a rich family legacy. Her greatest joy, however, was found in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family, all of whom she loved unconditionally.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, James Boone, Paula Boone, and Tanya Boone; her grandchildren, Jermaine Scott Holmes (Danette), Diondré McKinnon, James Boone Jr., Jade McKinnon, Austin Pittman, and Marlena Myles; her beloved great-grandchildren, Symoné, Jakobi, and Marcel; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families, all of whom were blessed by her love and presence.
Pearlie Mae Wilson's legacy is one of love, faith, service, and resilience. She touched many lives through her generosity, wisdom, and compassionate heart. Though she has departed this earthly life, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, church family, and all who were blessed to know her.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Westminster Suncoast and Empath Health Suncoast Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort, dignity, and kindness shown to Pearlie during her final days. Your support and dedication will always be remembered with deep appreciation.
The family also gratefully acknowledges the many prayers, expressions of love, and acts of kindness extended during this time of bereavement.
