Paul was the rock of his family and a man everyone could count on. He was always there to lend a hand, solve a problem, or offer advice. His family often said, “If Pop can’t fix it, no one can.”
Paul loved NASCAR and enjoyed watching and attending races, especially the bus trips to the races with his buddies. He also loved taking his children and grandchildren on vacations and outings in the motorhome, making memories they will cherish forever.
A talented and experienced carpet installer, Paul spent many years mentoring and teaching others in the trade. He was always willing to share his knowledge and help others succeed. Most of all, Paul loved his family. He never missed an important event, from graduations and weddings to cheer competitions and sporting events. He was always there, cheering them on and supporting them every step of the way. He was also affectionately known as the “baby whisperer,” a special gift that brought him—and his family—so much joy.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Anita J. Peterson and Henry L. Hagedorn; siblings Henry R. Hagedorn, Robert J. Hagedorn, and Lyle Hagedorn; son William J. Brown; and great-granddaughter Erica R. Davis.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lynn Hagedorn of Clearwater, FL; daughters Paulette G. (Robert G.) Giannetti of Jackson, NJ, Sheryl G. (Thomas G.) Hagedorn of Manalapan, NJ, Lorraine M. (Darren J.) Woodruff of Holiday, FL, and Julie G. Palmer of Jackson, NJ; son Michael D. Brown of Clearwater, FL; eighteen grandchildren and their spouses; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.
Paul will be remembered for his generous heart, his love of family, his willingness to help others, and for always being there when he was needed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, mentor, and friend. He was Pop—the one who could fix anything, calm any baby, and always be there. He will
be deeply missed and forever loved.
