Pamela Jean Nightingale

Pamela Jean Nightingale was born in Barberton Ohio on January 28th 1956, the first of five daughters to the proud parents, Eugene and Rowena Cross. After graduating Kenmore High School in 1974 she was awarded two Associate Degrees from Randolph Community College in North Carolina. She had a long career as an Administrator in Education, Union Branches and local Government. Ill health forced her retirement in 2015. Pam had a lifelong love of music and was an accomplished player across a wide range of instruments but the Tenor Saxophone remained her favorite. Although Ohio will always be home, she has lived in North Carolina, England and finally Florida. Pam is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Philip Nightingale and by her two adored sons from her previous marriage to the late Carl Elliott, Jeremy and Jason. Her beloved Grandchildren are Katelynn Williams, Jeremy Elliott Jr, Abigail Elliott, Mackenzie Elliott, Raylen Elliott, Anna Leach Tobey Leach, Devon Elliott, Eric Merritt, Kaiden Elliott, Scarlette Elliott, Italie Hail and Jayden Barnhill. She also has two great grandchildren, Chase Williams and Kolten Elliott. Pam had a lifelong close bond with her four sisters, Lynn, Robin, Rene, Tracy and her cousin and best friend Francie Hill. She loved each of us unconditionally and will remain in our hearts and at our shoulder. Hic finit vita bene vixit.
